I was just loading my Bronica RF645, and the manual showed me this table. I had assumed the ISO and the setting on the Film speed dial would be the same number. So why the offset ?

I think it is just the way it was printed if I get what you are saying. Between normal ISO speeds there are 2 in between ones corresponding to the two hash marks on the film speed dial scale.

You are probably right, Bob, since the ends of the scale match up. Silly not to think of it. Goes back to 'Occam's razor', I guess- often paraphrased as "All other things being equal, the simplest solution is the best."
