Filter in CV 25/4?

Hi... The filter thread in the CV 25/4 is recessed
inside of the built in lens hood. I measured the
inner [female] screw thread and it is 39mm, like
that of Leitz lenses.
QUESTION: How does one attach & remove filters,
one centimeter inside the lens hood? :bang:

Mike, the hood isn't built in. Cap the lens and you can unscrew the hood using the cap as a handle.

If the hood's really hard to unscrew, try the old rubber mat trick. Press the hood down firmly onto a rubber mat, e.g. the back of a mouse mat and turn the lens while maintaining pressure. This works for stuck filters as well.
