Filters for a Canon 35mm F2 LTM lens

As far as I can see they are not sold out. They are not in stock for the moment, but you can order them anyway. It will just take a few days to get them from the factory. I don't know what type of filter you're after, but I checked UV and Yellow filters.

I've been looking for a 40-43 stepup ring forever. Currently own 39mm and 43mm filters and really would prefer to not also need 40.5mm filters...

Would love to slap my 43mm 812 and Yellow 15 filters on my Canon 50/1.5.

A couple of years ago I bought I think two of them at a dollar or two each with free postage from China and recently decided it would be nice to have another so I could just leave a stepping ring on each lens.

But no luck! I too have been looking on and off for perhaps 3 months but without success. I trust that sooner or later one will turn up on eBay from China when someone realizes there is a market for these for this purpose.

On a couple of occasions I did see one advertised located in USA but it had a crazy price - I think it was about US $30 plus P and H. Obviously that was not an option. I also saw 40-39mm step down ring for mounting 39mm diameter filters. Which may work for some lenses without vignetting. It could also be advantageous for anyone already using Leica glass.
 
I found that a 40-40.5mm step up ring caused vignetting on my 35/2. In fairness I've not fully tested it to see if it only occurs wide open. I managed to then pick up a couple of nice Canon 40mm filters which are very nice and slim.
 
Another arrangement that works is a 42mm push on filter. They are not common but they can be found on ebay. The one fitted to my Canon is a warming filter (B+W KR1.5) and it accepts the old Voigtlander 42mm push on hood. The hood does not vignette. Also, because it is 'square' it does not intrude into the view of the external viewfinder.
