Filters For Jupiter Lenses

It's been a number of years since I used FSU lenses but I still have one Jupiter-8 which rendered good results on my first Bessa-R. I'm about ready to use it again (with an LTM>M adaptor) on an M3. My problem is I don't seem to have a source for a 40.5mm filter (I believe that's the correct diameter) in any of my notes. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I'll appreciate your guidance.

They can't be that hard to find, surely. There was a time when 40.5 was the most common filter size, which I guess is why FSU lenses have them. A couple of years ago, I asked for one at my local camera shop and he reached under the counter and produced one. This was for my Olympus digital. I understand 40.5 is common on video cameras.
 
Got mines a seller called "heavystar" on the bay, the filters brand is S&W,he also has some snap-on 40,5mm lens cap.
 
Near where I live, Virginia USA, most chain camera stores, such as Wolf Camera, stock 40.5 mm filters, because it is a common size for video-cam lenses.
 
I use those cheap-@ss OEC or S&W ND filters on just about all of my outdoor photos. Here's with the J8, I think I burned in the corners

You could do what I did, which was buy from a trusted FSU dealer, at one time, enough 40.5, 49mm and 36mm push-on filters to cover all my basic b&w plus filter needs. It saves a bundle on shipping charges and the FSU filters are very nice, IMO.

The 36mm push-on is ideal for the I-50 type and Iskra lenses. The 49mm is needed for the 8.5 cm J-9.

Olympus also sells 40.5 filters on eBay, which is where I got new skylight filters from for about $2@.

Step down rings, like the 40.5 to 39 I just ordered from Heavystar for $8, by-way-of eBay, give added value and versatility to a good, basic filter selection.

40,5mm is right. You can look on eBay for them or buy them also new, Heliopan makes such filters until today.

B+W make 40.5mm, high quality, brass not aluminium ring. In the UK at least they should be readily available (albeit to order usually) from any Lowepro stockist.

Once again, I've found members of the RFF to be helpful even to someone asking such an elementary question as mine. Nobody yelled at me for being stupid, wasting time or anything such as that...thank you all!

Not only have I found and ordered 40.5 mm filters, I've also ordered a couple of lens hoods in that size (one for a Jupiter, the other for a 90mm f4 M-Rokkor).
