Remember to check experiences on contrast differences between lenses. Modern lenses tend to have higher contrast, but some older ones do too. I don't think you want high contrast for your dreamy shots.
I have a great Jupiter 9 BTW. Lucky me I guess.

Yep, that`s what I want to know too...high contrast is good on color crossprocessed stuff and sometimes when I`m doing the old slide film looks, but I don`t want things all blown out in my lingerie/art nudes and portraits

I know I keep on raving about my f1.5 50mm - but that`s the "look" I want only in a "portrait" lens, either German or Japanese glass, I`m going to get the Hektor and the Elmat a go, but I don`t think that the backgrounds will be as dreamy or swimmy as I want them to be

I know I`m a crazy artist

reread my post, nobody argues that.

How's your GAS-free summer ? :)

Roland: Since I announced a GAS free summer [wish], I have been "Off the GAS wagon". I am getting a few cameras fixed though. What about your GAS during this summer?

Well, I do have to agree that I was wrong that the Canon 85/2.0 is a Sonnar. It's a Double-Gauss. They just copied the backwards aperture ring from Zeiss!

A Canon 100/4 is less likely to need a cleaning than an Elmar 90/4. Nice hard coatings.
