Hi All,

Been selling some stuff I'm not using here and there, and buying a few things, as well. Just ordered a new 28mm f3.5 Color Skopar from Stephen Gandy. So, now I have the 21mm, the 25mm, the 28mm, and the 35mm. All nice and small, to use on my M camera, and my wife can use all of these on her two Bessa-L's. :p

Hard to go wrong with this one, right? Stephen says sharpest 28mm lens made, period. Hmmm I like 28mm FOV; I also have the Ultron. :D

I've been using the CV 28/3.5 for most of my RF work since October.

I love the size and general ease of use. I'm not sure it's the best 28mm ever made, but I think could certainly be the best for the money. I'm very pleased with this lens. I think it is a great street lens.

I have noticed that the sharpness doesn't change to much from f 3.5 to f 11. I like how constant the negatives look. It seems to be a bit contrasty compared to my Nikkor 28 AI (F mount late version–same optics as the AIS) and my Mamiya-Sekor 28/2.8 (M42). It is not as sharp as the Nikkor, but it is sharper than the Mamiya-Sekor.

Enjoy your lens. I sure enjoy mine.

I received delivery of one at the weekend - at the price it looks to be excellent value.

I enjoyed your photos Willie - it just looks to be in too cold a part of the world for me.

Enjoy your skopar!

A wonderful lens. Excellent sharpness, tonality and lack of distortion. Great ergonomics and build quality too. You may be surprised at how heavy this little nugget is.

Wow-
There are some AWESOME photos here!
My 28 Skopar just arrived today, it's on one of the Bessa-L's, can't wait to use it myself.

Just ordered a 39mm UV filter, and an S&W 39mm Ultrawide hood (from Heavystar), to replace the ones I have -snitched- from my 25mm Snapshot Skopar. Works great on the 28mm Color Skopar, too.

Just had to add more words of praise for the 28/3.5. Got mine today to go with an M4-P and my LTMs. The first impression of fit and finish was very good and the results of the first test roll left me wanting for nothing. I again just a very quick first impression but I doubt it will change much. It is a good match for the LTMs especially when used with the mini finder. A good little versitile lens for the uses and bodies that I have.

Great little lens! Was thinking of one for quite some time when I found one at a shop here in Japan closing out their Voigtlander line. Would have liked a black version but chrome was all they had. At about $230 I couldn't go wrong I thought.

Very sharp, 'modern' look with high contrast, handles beautifully, heavy brass well made. Can't say I use it much with film, but it lives on my RD-1. For what it does - not a fast lens, wide/normal, but small - its just about the most perfect lens made.

and oh, the LTM is great, M-series mount with an adapter, and with my Leica III it makes a 70 year old camera a very small pocket size modern picture making machine. The Voigtlander mini 35/28 finder is highly recommended.

Congrats to all of us just receiving the 28 Skopar, as mine is just now enjoying its first roll on a Nikon S3. I had one before in LTM and sold it, probably a mistake... It's a great little lens.

I spent the weekend shooting a few rolls with an SC Skopar 28mm f3.5 and a W-Nikkor 2.8cm f3.5 on an SP, and I gotta say I was very impressed with the little Skopar! Amazingly sharp even at f3.5 and lots of contrast. You'd be hard pressed to find a better performing 28mm lens.
