I should add that Central Camera will give you a discount on film if you have a student ID. Anyway it is just as cheap as
Freestyle if you want your film in a genuine yellow box. (BTW great looking camera)

Central camera is worth a visit just to wander around. Great store. There's another camera shop out in Oak Park, fairly decent selection, but Central was a lot more fun. Enjoy Chicago.

one more suggestion I would make is to visit the old Carson Pirie Scott building on the corner of State and Madison streets also in that area. IMHO the best looking building in a city renowned for its great architecture. Unfortunately the building is empty right now so you can not go inside but they just completed a four year refurbishing of the exterior and it so good to be able to see it in all its splendor. The rounded entrance is what I would say is Louis Sullivan's master piece. here is a link to google images so you can see what it looks like

I'm just back from the windy city. I entered the magnificent mile Ritz camera asking for rolls and they looked at me like I came for another planet. Luckily there are Walgreens. The one in front at the Millennium park has plenty of it including BW400CN and Ultramax800.

I stopped at the counter loading the new film and of course I got the usual comments from the casual customer (Hubby to wife: Look! A roll of film. Wow, I didn't even know they still make some...).

Went to the cultural centre for the Meier exhibit: nice!

Now I have to find the time to develop the 5 rolls I burned.

I have bad news for you though - you missed a deal at BH photo on a beautiful like new in box black paint Leicavit MP for half the price, fitting to your new MP.

I got it a few days ago in the mail and already shot a hand full of film with it - THIS is the greatest pair of camera gear, I ever bought - MP + Leicavit!

Go, run to the store and get one!

Btw, I really like the MP advance lever over the tippy M6 lever.
You don't have to pull the lever out before you can wind it, like with the plastic tip M6 one.
It has the perfect shape, to be ready to wind even, when completely folded in - as you, I love my new MP ;-)
