Finally Got my **Summitar** Help with the ID

I just got my summitar, wondering if anyone would be able to tell me if the lens is coated or not.

According to this list it was produced in 1946, but it makes no mention of anything else. Someone with more knowledge than I should be able to tell by the date when it was produced.

I got the date from the same source and I think post WWII Summitars were coated. Does yours have a round aperature opening or one that is hexagonal in shape?

It is a coated version. The easiest way to tell whether a lens is coated or not is to look at it. Hold it to the light. Each of the different colors in the reflection(other than the white from the light) represents a coating. I hope this helps.

If the front looks blue, it is coated. Otherwise it looks like a drinking glass clear.
