my ZI is here 😀 . First I wanted a M6 but after looking through the VF of a ZI it tool only minutes until I ordered one.

I hope it is not a bad karma that the picture was taken digital.....

Congratulations! The VF was the feature that most attracted me to the ZI as well. The view is great with eyeglasses and amazing without.

BTW, which Nokton do you have there? I'm wondering how much the 35/1.2 or the 50/1.5 intrudes into the VF of the ZI, more importantly into the framelines.

Yes, the VF is really amazing, to me it was the killer argument. Time for another well known company to rethink their design 😉 .

I have the CV Nokton and it doesn't intrude very much. With my eyeglassesiit's the edge between end of the right frame on the downside to the end of the down frame on the right side. Nothing disturbing but it will be more without or with thinner eyeglasses.

Congratulations, Traveller! 🙂 I'm still enjoying mine 14 months after the purchase. 😎

I bought it for the viewfinder & the long base line. But over time I've come to appreciate it as much for the responsiveness of the shutter. The shutter release button seems perfectly balanced. I'ts not a hair trigger by any means, but when you're ready & apply the proper pressure, instantly your picture is taken. No lag time at all. Just great. 😀

Emjoy your new camera . . . & resist that desire to spend money on new lenses. 😉

Congrats on the new baby! Like Huck said, I really like the shutter release of the ZI - crisp and it happens when you expect it to. I just wish it were quieter, but you can't have everything!
