Finding a Nikon 35Ti in Tokyo?

I think I’ve seen both the 35ti and T2 at Lemon Camera in Ginza; they normally have a small selection of premium film P&S. But I checked the Naniwa Camera website (which lists Lemon’s stock) and they don’t appear to have a 35ti right now.

Based on their website, Map Camera in Shinjuku is also out of 35tis, but they have some T2s in stock.

I hate to say it but the internet (eBay or, in Japan, yahoo auctions) is the easiest way to get these kinds of cameras nowadays.

Thank you! But definitely already did. Just trying to eliminate some possibilities now. For example, does Fujiya (Nikon profile) have this Nikon 35Ti or they're simply into lenses and FM...

Just trying to maximise my chances and hopefully avoid spending too much time on this wild goose chase.

Oh, I see. Sorry about that.

I personally like Camera Alps and Syuukou. I ended up buying a BP M4 from Syuukou this year, but I also saw one in Alps in 2016.

Syuukou have very high quality stock, but I don't recall seeing any Nikon, mostly Leica and Hasselblad. Alps are in a larger premises and probably have a wider range, but less brand concentration. Nice guys there too.

I would visit Chikuma if you are looking for something rare and uncommon, as most premium compacts are becoming. I've never seen a larger stock of desirable cameras, and I'd be shocked if they didn't have a 35ti or similar.

Mostly, enjoy exploring Tokyo! I can't wait to go back myself :)

What's your time frame? You will find that shops in Tokyo can be pretty poorly priced... Japan is finally enjoying a large tourist market. Most good deals are all online. That being said, there is very small shop on the main drag in Akihabara (towards Suehirocho) who has good stuff from time to time. Prices are fair but not great. You can haggle a bit.

If you strike out I might be posting a T2 soon. It's a full setup (box, manual, all that stuff) so maybe past your price point, but never know.
