Firmware Upgrade

Hi, i just received my M8 today, the Firmware is 2.002, i wanted to upgrade the firmware to 2.005. do i need to upgrade it to 2.003 then 2.004 and then 2.005? or i can go straight to 2.005? can i know how do i look for my Shutter count in my M8? i'm a newbie here. Please help. Thank you.

Just go to the latest firmware update. The latest contains previous updates, unless they turned out to be a problem.

There is no need to step-grate firmware updates – regardless, you wouldn't be able to do this since only the latest firmware version is available at any given time.

But I wanted to point out there is no firmware release between 2.002 and 2.005 anyway.

2.004 was an official release, and was loaded into my late issue M8.

I upgraded to 2.005. Be sure to unzip 2.005, follow instructions. Make sure the battery has a full charge so that it does not go out during the procedure. Not long, but you do not want the camera turning off during the reboot sequence.

Yes, I guess I was trying to point out that you don't have to go to any previous, as in updating a Canon, with a number of previous updates, as the current one contains everything. It was a note for future information for the OP.
