i have a yashica 124g and the first and second frame space is huge, but after the second things are going good. any ideas what i could be doing wrong loading / winding the film?
Make sure you're lining up the start arrow on the film backing with the right start spot on the camera. It's located right beside the first bend as you load the film. Have fun, it's an amazing camera.

just an update, my brother who used the camera for a while figured it out. the trick was to remove the slack by winding the arrows on the film past the bend almost to the takeup spool before closing the door
