First half hour with old lenses on M240

I just got a couple of older Leitz lenses to use on the M240 and decided to do a very quick trial at a local city park about an hour before dark. The lenses are a 1965 90mm Elmar (3 element) and a 1956 50mm collapsible Summicron. Extremely overcast conditions and very low light, almost dark for the last few. All hand held at ISO 800.

These photos clearly won't win any awards, but I'm posting in case anyone's interested in the general image quality under less than the most favorable conditions, or if anyone would like to share their photos or experiences. Most shots were at f4 or f5.6 on the 90 and at f 2.8 on the 50.

'Kinda expected a bit more flare and lower contrast, but I was very pleasantly surprised when I looked at the first few pics above.

Plus the old lenses are just so small and light. The 90mm Elmar is not much bigger than a fat cigar.

Very nice images! It reminds me that I need to take out my Summitar 50/2 more often. These old Leica lensed certainly have their charms.

They render really nice on the m240.... makes me wonder if i should keep old lenses. I think you should try them with portraiture

This can't possibly be true. Everybody knows that with M240 you can only obtain images with ASPH lenses - the other lenses will turn the light black.

It's nice to see dark energy revealed like this. Gives us an idea of what dark matter must look like, if we could see it...

Not that I wish to be an a-hole but... how can you tell what these lenses are doing with so much saturation and sharpening in PP?
The images look quite well cooked (which I suppose is appropriate for goose and or duck 😛).
