I got my first photos from my XA back yesterday. Here are a few. Let me know what you think and how I could improve.

Sosso,

IMHO, four great shots out of six. The two with the back foreground you might have given more foreground and less sky, but only slightly. Great shoot on what looks to be grass growing where it shouldn't. The other would be better perhaps horizontal with more white things leading into the subject. Easy to say, but perhaps there was more stuff that would have detracted from the picture. Perhaps closer and have the white things closer to the bottom. The first one is weak, no main interest, nothing to draw the eye and keep it, IMHO, weakest of the bunch. I would not have shown it as a good picture.

Frankly (as I am always honest), keep shooting. If this is one roll, you have a great hit ratio and eye for finding shots in different places. Keep your eyes open everywhere you go and shot.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the suggestions Billbingham2. Perhaps I could re-shoot the first one with someone skating in the half pipe to add more interest?

Here are some landscape versions of the two you said have too much sky. I dont know if this first one is any better...They are all from the one roll of Kodak Portra 160 NC

I like pic no 2 a lot.
Come closer to the guy on the bike but keep him on the right side of the picture. That'll create more impact on the "pondering the sea" kind of shot like that.

It's tough to shoot midday, isn't it, but your XA seems to be spot on and the details are about par with what I expect from the F.Zuiko lens.

I like numbers 3 and 6 best...but it seems to me that number 3 is the type of shot that the XA was made for...off the cuff snags of people being people.
