First photos with R3M + 40mm/1.4

I scanned my filmed at somebody as my scanner died, I was to keen to see the results to wait for the service to fix my device, and I want to say that I am completely in love with the camera and with the lens - it is way beyound the digital, different feeling, athmospheare, everything.

Oooh love that last one but the dof is too short... stop that down some more and get the background and it would be oh so sweet :D What film did you use?
 
I used Fuji Neopan 400, developed in ID11.

What I don't know what it is, in the picture with the mic, in the bokeh you will notive a kind of 'X' central in the image. I say a similar thing, in other images, not an X but only a trace and I could swear they were not in the room! I wonder what could it be?

re the depth of field in the last one, f1.4 was the one thing I could use, in the room was very low light, before the concert started.

First shot, of the girl, is a winner. My friend has this camera with this lens. I have borrowed it and I wish I had the money to buy this combination. Having said that, I do prefer my VC Color Skopar 35/2.5, not because it's a better lens, but merely because I prefer the 35mm focal length.

Tedwhite, I prefer 35 but I love f1.4 and I can tell you that I have Nikkor 50mm f1.8 and I used on digital (D200) as well as on film (F80), but the result is no way close to Nokton. I don't think is only due to the difference from f1.8 to f1.4, simply the lens itlself. Not to mention the Nikkor is not very sharp at wide open.

Only second could be much better. I like how your eye see things :)
It will be interesanting to see your shots with this low light combo after 10 rolls of film ;)

The second one is my favourite; the composition is just SO unusual that it arrests my eye and I really like it. The DOF makes it sort of crazy, but that is what completes the photo for me.

So far I haven't seen a Nokton 1.4 shot where I didn't like the lens. A winner.

Not at all - your photos are terrific and you have a very good eye for things. And your passionate about this.
Plus it doesn't hurt to live in a very beutiful city ;) - I love Bucharest. Every time I visit there I enjoy every minut of it and I think it's full of beautiful sites (and girls ;) ).
Looking forward to seeing more of your work!
 
Very good job! The second shot is really interesting, nut the winner is the first one! I like it very much, the unusual viewpoint is its strenght

the only big problem with it is the shaddow on her face which ruins it a little bit
 
I really like the first two. The 3rd looks like a bokeh test shot. I really like how you see things. the eyes through the chair, all very nice work.
