I'm not sure why. It's just such a crazy, busy, serendipitous composition that presented itself to me as I was walking through a parking lot. I've mostly just been lazily doing iPhone snapshots lately, but this was with the M8 and Canon 35/1.8, I believe at around f/4?

I love the M8's colors.

I have been there especially with the cursed (I Love it) Iphone 4. Glad to see you up and running. And oh a wonderful layout of colors on the shot.

this is a great image. but you see, all the colors go well except that reddish building on the right and the very bright overcast sky.
Now if i were you, i'd go to the same place again, under similar light and 'tighten it up a bit', maybe by using a 50mm- or if you're lazy you could crop it.
but that's my opinion and it should not mean anything to you.

Mabelsound, did you go bowling, too?
I like the composition and the colors are certainly lurid (imagine what it must take to cause Frank's heart to feel threatened; not an easy task).
Please tell us that you've only suffered photographer's block and not writer's block, too.
Welcome back.

I haven't taken a decent non work photograph for months either, infact since June I think. Everything seems to be a huge cliche or simply a bit desperate. To make matters worse I posted two pictures to the gallery here yesterday that I know are both poor, simply because I hadn't posted anything for so long. I'm pleased to hear ( or see in this case as we've been provided with the evidence) that you've lost your 'blinkers'....frustrating stuff when you know you're producing crap.

Hey Rob! No writer's block thank goodness. Indeed, that's why I've imposed this internet poster's block--so I can get some work done. I will continue to lurk & occasionally post.
ebino, now that I know that spot, I might well go back at different times and see what I come up with...thanks!
