I recently bought a used 50mm Elmar-M. I managed to shoot a few rolls over the past few days. Here are some of the pictures:

It's probably not a common choice for available-light, but I think the Elmar acquits itself pretty well here. I think I have some keepers for my night photography project.

I like what I've seen so far. The lens has a very pleasing character: it's crisp, and the out of focus areas dissolve nicely. Well built too.

My thoughts exactly! It matches perfectly with my M2, both are chrome.

I used Tri-X at 400. Developed in Pyrocat. Exposures for the night shots were typically f2.8 at 1/8s or 1/15s (for the "brighter" scenes).

Oh, and thanks Joe! I used the frames I normally have for my website. I made a Photoshop action, and it does simplify things a lot.

nice look on the shots. I have both elmar(uh...)m 2.8 & ltm 3.5 . The 2.8 is wonderfully crispy.. in a good way.

the shot below was from the 2.8

I have to develop a roll - maybe Sunday - that I shot with it.

This Elmar they're talking about here is the new "M".. which I still eye .. but figure; I've got yours.. how much better can the "new" one be??

I've just taken some test pics of the Elmar v Summilux Asph. I just bought the Elmar for its portability when travelling and trying to sell the Summilux.
Many RFF posts praise the Elmar. I was really interested to see your pics.
