first pictures with canonet GIII

I psoted this in the canon section, and wanted to get some more feedback... so here it is..

I just bought the canonet ql19 GIII off ebay for $10.. 🙂
Its my first rangefinder and first manual camera 🙂
The shutter was working, but i replaced the lightseals with foamies and a little bit of rubber cement...

The automatic is not working.... so all my pictures are taken manually.. 🙂

Shallow DOF

Shallow DOF

I notice that you have the same shallow DOF fixation that I did when I first got my Canonet! When you've got a lens that can open up really wide (f/1.7) you tend to use if - especially if you are like me and shoot a lot with a digial P&S where everything is always in focus.

Yea, i love the fact that focus and aperture are done manually in rangefinders comapred to point and shoot where everything is pretty much alwayse in focus...,,
