I prefer the slower films like 160NC and Ektar 100 as others have suggested for color. I've also had some great experience with Tri-X at 400 or pushed to 1600 with and without a 25A filter

1. As color:
A. Slide:
- For landscape and outdoor cityscape/urban: Velvia 50, Velvia 100F
- For portraits/candid: Astia 100F, Provia 100F, E100G, E100S, EPP[if available]
B. Negative
- For landscape/outdoor: Ektar 100, Reala, Pro 160S, Porta VC
- For portraits: Pro 160C, Porta NC, Ektar 100, Reala, Supria
2. As B&W:
Anything can be fine, depends on exposure and developing process and camera and so, HP5+, Tri-X are my favorite so far [even i didn't shoot with Tri-X yet but i no doubt know it will be fav].
