Well, I still have to work on my scanning skills, but I am pretty happy with the first results from my new to me 50 summicron. The lens arrived on a Thursday and I didn't get a chance to shoot with it until the weekend. My son though didn't want to do anything, I was begging him to go anywhere that I could take my camera and burn some film. He just wanted to stay home and play with his toys, hmmm. Well, that is ok sometimes too. By Sunday night though I was miserable, then he said he wanted to go outside and play with his Spiderman Web Blaster!!!! I grabbed my R2, threw in some Tri-X and the rest is in the books.
Here are some shots I loaded into a gallery.

This shot is of the web blaster on the stone wall at the top of my yard. The sun was setting over the top of my house, and this one part of the wall was lit by the last bits of light. I asked Sammy to sit on the wall right on that rock for a portrait. He ran up, put the toy down and ran away laughing. Oh well.

It is either Canadian or German, I haven't even tried to figure that out yet, it has a concave tab if that makes a difference.

The doggie portrait of Molly (in the gallery) is really nice!
Thanks prof,
I was determined to shoot all 24 exposures on the roll of film and when Sammy started to hide from the camera, Molly became my target.

Congrats on the 50/2 and great shots! I love mine, I also have the 35/2 which is great as well. These lenses are biting sharp but look really nice wide open, I shoot mine at f4 mostly and can manage some creamy bokeh. Did you get a hood with it? Both mine came with the vented hoods, I lucked out cause those things are very expensive.
Good Luck!

That's some good looking imaging, rover! That 'cron will do just fine...
I was surprised that there were not many on the market when I was looking Todd. I ended up getting this lens off ebay, and yes it came with caps, leather case, hood and hood cap, with its original box. From what I found in the shops I would have paid at least $250 more from a shop for all this stuff.
