You have got the Zen of the M6. Now all you need is to photograph.

Jmilkins, i think i like the M6 for its heft. It feels nice and solid in my hands and when shooting. The Zi is indeed much lighter but feels nicely put together as well, if not as solid as the M6. It feels alittle more plasticky.
I'm very happy with my M6 and ZI and i think they make a nice combination. The R3a is in a word, functional. It is very good value for money and i liked it alot when i had it, but unfortunately i had to let it go to fund for a new lens.
Thanks for your reply. ZI and M6 - wow - a dream combo.

Thank you guys.
Jmilkins, it is indeed a dream combo, for me at least. I love using a Summicron-C on the Ikon.
A few more street shots from my M6.
I couldn't be happier with both cameras.

I enjoy a lot watching the photos you post here !
It seems you and the camera - which of course only a tool
- have grown together.

Great pictures Merelyok. I also like the picture of the woman on the bus. What developer did you use for the Neopan 1600 and for how long? I can't seem to get consistent results with Neopan 1600/ Rodinal.

It's weird you ask because i use T-max dev and Neopan 1600 is the only film so far that i get good results with.
T-max dev with other films (Tri-X, neopan 400) seem to be way too contrasty for my liking, but with Neopan 1600 the results are just right. (1:4 @ 5mins.)
Im still looking for a developer for my Tri-x shots. Perhaps i need to agitate abit less for my Tri-x/T-max dev combination.

Have you tried D76 or XTOL? They're both cheaper and better than tmax dev for TX.

I haven't..i might try HC-110 in the near future since i don't have much confidence in mixing powder developers at the moment!

Don't let the powder frighten you! Its very easy to mix D76. XTOL is more difficult because it comes in huge quantities. Any D76 will work very well, including the very cheap chinese stuff

Hm.....thanks for the tip Dfoo. I might go hunting for a large-ish container soon to store that D76 mixture. haha!

I used to mix the cheap chinese D76 in a liter bottle. Fill the thing with warmish water, dump in the powder, and shake shake shake. I'd use the developer for 10 rolls straight up and then throw it out. Worked well.

Well done lovely shots and like many others I love the woman on the bus best.
I have gone from DSLRs to rangefinders back to DSLRs to the M8 and finally now back to Canon DSLRs with manual lenses (Contax, Leica and Olympus Zuiko). I sold the M8, but my M6 is still a favourite camera. On a recent trip to Myanmar I took my new 5D Mk II and the M6. Don't get me wrong, I am very very happy with the 5D2, but I was also so pleased to take the M6 too, and was very happy with the photos I took. It does encourage a different kind of shooting, for me it's more simple and natural. It's one camera I don't think I will ever part with.
It suits you very well, keep posting.

Thanks for sharing Nick. I have a 1D MKIII myself but i hardly use it. I use it with manual glass as well (Takumars, Nikkors, Zeiss)
You could say im tuned to shoot in RF mode now!
