Hate to burst your bubble, but the developing world uses digital cameras. Charge with solar panel or generator. Camera phones mostly, of course. In the mobile phones everyone has. Seriously.
Earlier this year went on a hike with my brother and sister 3 hours off the end of the road in the Highlands of Papua New Guinea. The first thing everyone did on arriving at the grass and bamboo hut at the end of the hike was to pull out their phones and check their messages.
OTOH - having a postal service home deliver IS a First World problem.
