First ZM 35/2.8 photos

Nice! Hope you find the time to write a mini review. I've been saving up for a ZM 35/2 or now a 35 summarit but if this the Biogon C delivers I think I'll seriously consider it. Right now i have the VC 35P II but since 35 is my favorite length I want to have a really good performer.

I have a 50 elmar M and the contrast seems to be similar (on the contrasty side). I haven't shot with it a lot so I could be wrong though.

i don't normally shoot colour and my 35/2.5 is the original ltm.

the cv lens is very good, sharp and contrasty. this zm is similar, maybe a bit smoother image.

i'm really not very good at these comparisons except for the most obvious things. size wise i think it's a perfect size when compared the the zm 35/2 and the cv 35/2.5.
could I tell the difference between pics from any of the 3 lenses? not likely.

I'm just going to 'send some flowers' to coin a phrase someone once said on this forum.

Those are super nice shots, all with a fantastic look from the lens/film combination, really snappy. 'Sun under steps' I like very much, the very dynamic lighting has been handled well to create an interesting effect on the graffiti piece. Perhaps unorthodox but interesting composition in 'ripe tomato'. 'Beard' is a stunner, really good use of the 35 mm, nice timing. My favourite is 'city hall', simply because of the way it captures the atmosphere of the scene.

looks like a great lense... could you post these same images without level adjustment? to my eye the shadows are blocked up on the last three shots... could be my monitor or perhaps liberal use of level adjustments???

Thanks for posting these. I'm thinking that all those 35mm summarons might have a little competition...

i normally adjust with levels and unsharp mask...these have no processing at all.
