I've just done a few Kodak TMax 400 films (in ID-11) and I notice that the fix mix has taken on an insipid yellow colour. I have another TMax 400 to do yet.

But my other camera has Ilford HP5+ in it, and I'm curious to know if the discoloured fixer will affect the HP5+ as I'll be developing it first. I suspect not, but would like to see what others think before going ahead.

Of course, if I err on the cautious side and mix up new fixer, I'd never know!

Check fixer. By undeveloped film stripe method.

My fixer mix is mix of different batches and it is yellow cast color from stop bath.
No issues.

This is normal with Tmax Films. It won't affect other films fixed later, but keep in mind that Tmax films exhaust fixer faster than normal films. I shoot a lot of Tmax, and I only do 50 rolls through a gallon of fixer.

Thanks for all that; appreciated. I enquired elsewhere about the increased fixer exhaustion after learning that TMax behaved as such.

Yes - check fixer with a strip. I do that but not as often as I should!

I find TMax and Fuji Acros turn the fixer a pink color. The first few tanks of water used for final rinsing also turn a pink color.
