fixing film pressure plate

just noticed a problem with my new fed-2. The pressure plate sits crooked. right side is almost touching the backcover while the left sited is a lot higher. this will most certainly affect the focus, right? The spring on which it is attached seems to have been somehow bent to one side over the years. How can I fix this? any ideas?

maybe remove the back plate and bend the spring in it's right direction?

I used brute force, it worked for me.

Try Santino's suggestion. If it doesn't work, I have a couple of spare Fed 2 backs that I could rob from/send you.

I tried bending it without removing the pressure plate with no luck - it springs back. do you think I can remove this pressure plate, I am not sure if I will be able to attach it again.

It had to go on in the first place, so removing it should only be going back a step on the production line
