The fastax shreaded a lot of film.
There must be more than one camera design called Fastax. The one we had could not shred film. The film was maybe 5 or 6 feet long and was placed on the inside of a rotating drum, emulsion side facing in to a rotating prism at the center. The drum rotated at high speed while the prism in the center rotated in the opposite direction, "spraying" the images on the rotating film strip. There was no way to shred the film; it was not advanced by means of the sprocket holes and didn't pass through a gate. It moved by being in contact with the drum; it didn't move relative to the drum surface. The frame rate was 25,000fps.
