I was driving back to NJ from Lancaster, PA along rt 222, when I saw a flea market. One thing my grandmother taught me is that you NEVER know what might turn up at a fleamarket so stop in and even if you don't buy you'll be none the worse off.

Long story short, I found a Minolta 7 SII with a case and a flash for $5. It needs a CLA, but that will be $70 well spent. It's pretty sweet. And if you haven't been to Lancaster, PA. I really think it's a strange town, in a charming sort of way. Definitely worth a visit.

Lancaster, yep a little different from what I saw, which wasn't much frankly. I was there on business and on a pretty tight schedule. There are some things photogenic however.

Good find on the Minolta.

Nice find!

I gave up on finding a 7sII after buying three of them. Two had a bunch of fungus in the lens which didn't clean up, one had a broken meter needle resulting in an aperture of f/16 or so all the time. I cobbled two of them together into a working camera (...except that it doesn't stop winding after advancing a frame...) and used it a bit. Love the controls and how quiet it is but I think I'm done chasing a working one. 🙂

Brian, do you have any links to the exploded view of the camera? Repair notes? I want to open it up and clean the viewfinder. Any tips links would be greatly appreciated.
