I owned a 343 and scanned many 6x17 images with no issues. It did a superb job. I now use an 848 with equally excellent results. My 617 holder was made by Hasselblad.

I've had no experience with the Chinese holders but will probably buy a 6x12 holder in the future.

Thanks! I did not go for one of the big ones (yet) because I'm not going to rescan any big part of my 35mm film catalogue (all done on a Pakon 235 and LS-8000) at higher res than 4000 dpi (just don't have the time or space) - and my desk space in my scanning lab, ahem, home office, is not unlimited!
