Morning time here in Adelaide. I just tried to log onto Flickr and nothing- nada, zip, zero. No reaction at all. No message from the server that its down - nothing. This is unusual. Normally a down site will give some kind of message even if its from the DNS system saying it cant find the site. Tried logging onto Flickriver which is a separate site but pulls its images from Flickr and I get a message saying "No images"
Are others experiencing this?
Have all the haters of "New Flickr" got together and blown up the server

Some people (not me) would say that's a good thing.
Just checked it (Canada) and I just get a white screen; maybe they're appeasing people who complained there was too much black on the site now.

the server is up and responds to ping, but it seems like the web server is asleep. ;-)

It's back up. Guess I should check my stats to see how much the numbers increased by while it was down

They seem to have changed the BB/HTML code for posting images, at least on my account tonight.
It used to be a url]
[/url phrase, now it's an <a href>xxx</a> link, which doesn't imbed the picture here, but rather just presents the code.
I changed it to the old version on a couple I just posted to the X100 forum, and that works, but I hope this is a temporary thing.
