For days now, the batch edit function of Flickr has been broken, at least for me. I get an idiotic (presumably funny) message about a bad panda; an admission that they know it's broken and they are working on it. Anyone else experienced this? I almost always set the privacy to "private" then create guest passes for clients and friends. None of that seems to be working, which make Flickr basically useless for me. Anyone have similar experiences? Or find a way around this? I need to batch-change permissions after I upload they the photos are not public.

I know that flickr has a new uploader, but I haven't tried it. The "bad panda" thing is common around the site, but just temporary glitches. The regular upload function seems OK to me. I posted one up there yesterday...

I've had a bear of a time with Flickr lately. Problems uploading and occasionally it just locks up until I log out and log back in. Their new Beta version is not ready for prime time.

Hmm, I've been on Flickr since something like 2008, haven't seen a total loss of functionality despite the numerous system changes over the years. Granted, I don't do batch edits so can't comment about that.

The only issue I had with the last change was Safari and Chrome browser on iPad now won't play well with copying the embed code from an image. I ended up using an alternative iOS browser app that serves up a desktop version of Firefox via a virtualization - this now gives me total desktop browser experience including many Java functions, so I can now play with Flickr on iPad.

PS: What I'm alluding to here is that often these Flickr woes are browser and/or platform specific.
