Is it just me that has problems with Flickr log-in's and passwords? ... every now and then it seems to have forgotten everything I put in last time, refuses to acknowledge my e-mail address so I can't even find out what it thinks my password is!

Then it sends one off on the merry go round of Yahoo's "Help" section hoping you'll lose interest before you find a way of e-mailing them

Yahoo can be funky... especially with Opera or any other "unsupported" browser. Though what you're experiencing sounds like a problem with cookies to me.

For what its worth, I have never encountered this problem, and I use Flickr very frequently. Something may be funky with your browser or internet connection.

Yep... I have had some weird problems as well.. But mainly when they randomly decide to test to c if my login attempt is by Trojan and bring up the dialog for typing in the random pattern. I think that this part of the HTML/java coding is not compatible w/ my iPad. If I go away for awhile.. I can login.

Unsupported, you say?

Opera is not on Flickr's list of "recommended" browsers, although they seem to stop short these days of saying (as they used to) that it is explicitly not supported.

I'm not sure why hepcat would say "Yahoo can be funky... especially with Opera " as I use Opera exclusively and have done for many years. There have minor been problems in the past when Flickr "upgrades" something and Opera have had to bring out a workaround, but for at least the last 18 months I haven't seen this happen.

But I tend to agree, this sounds like a cookie/cache problem.

Oh, well....they really are funky.

Under chapter on supported browsers (weren't aware of this, b.c. it's buried somewhere deep and I've found it by search only!) they list only recommended, instead of supported! No, it's too funny.

Probably I live too much in IT world and there really isn't difference between required and recommended....

What are the system requirements and supported browsers?

For PCs, Macintosh or Linux, we recommend the following browsers:
In addition, for PCs we also recommend the most recent version of Internet Explorer.

Use something else.

... what! I only paid the subscription in march

I've finally found the email support so we'll see ... the problem seems to revolve around the yahoo ID it keeps demanding, that I've never used and forgotten years ago ... they don't recognise my alternative address ... and I don't seen to recognise those random letters/number things
