FM2(n) collectible question

Hi,

Going back to the original question, as I see it, if you'd like one then add it to your collection.

There's (luckily) no official list of what is and isn't collectable.

So go ahead and add it to the collection; you can always sell it later on and be a little wiser and, perhaps, richer (if only in experience).

Regards, David

An FM2 and FM2n are both marked FM2. One of the ways to distinguish them is by the shutter speed dial as you note. You are in possession of an FM2n as far as I know.

There should also be an "N" in front of the serial number.

Shutter speed dial reads 1/250th and the 'N' is indeed infront of the serial number. Thanks to you both for the info and help.

I prefer the red LED of the fm2n as well.
But the aperture priority of the FE is a great feature is some situations.

Both camera are great and can't decide which one I prefer.

I used to shoot at events with an FM, and FE. The FE came in handy for grab shots, and I could use the FM for more set-up stuff, like groups and singles portraiture.
