So after all the dispair of tryign to find a M42, CFD, NI, etc lens adapter for the Pen-F for less than 100$ without avail I decided to take a different approach based on information from one of my co-workers.
I was checking one of the lens on the store shelf, a Super-Lentar 35mm f/3.5 , that looked like it was a pentax screwmount lens, but placing it on one of the pentax bodies would not thread all the way and the back of the lens was far too recessed to have worked. So then I remembered if it won't thread all the way, it's usually a T-mount thread. Sure enough the Lentar was a T-mount lens and I was told that in the past there were quite a few third party tmount or T2 lens as universal lens and such.
Well I remember seeing on B&H a used Bowen Pen-F to Slide duplicator adapter. Well all the Bowens uses the T-mount thread so you would just use any Tmount adapter for a camer to make it work. Well this adapter was 14$ so I figure sure why the hell not, theres least 5 or 6 non-telescope lens here in the store that are t-mount and I'm sure I can find some very cheap ass normal focal range lens on ebay for dirt cheap such as these lentars and other lens.
But I'm curious. Anyone know of any third party that made these lens in wider than 28mm, or in longer ranges faster than f/3.5? (like an 85mm f/2 maybe)
Well depending on how soon B&H ships the adapter I should be able to play with the lens shortly enough. Sure it might not be a FD, Nikon, M42, etc common adapter but least I have some options if this works.
Though I wonder, I know there existed FD->T adapters for Canon lens I have one at home, but the concern of course that the adapter for the lens itself is not corrected for infinity and I'd basically be using most my FD mount lens for macro-ing.
However If I could find a T mount for my Tamron Adaptall lens (I already got FD, Ni, MD, M42, etc mounts for my tamron lens) then I could use my adaptall lens including my 90mm f/2.8 1:1 Tamron SP lens on the Pen without worry of correction.

If I recall correctly, the T mount was the grandpa of them all. It morphed into T2 through T4 as mounts were needed to take advantage of new requirements in lens coupling. Somewhere along the line, Tamron Adaptalls and Vivitar TX got into the act. I just did a search on preybay and found several listings for mounts and lenses. If there were any for M42 I missed them, but M42 mount lenses were so abundant I am sure they turn up from time to time. In the mean time, you can drool over any lenses you might want.
BTW, some of the Vivitar TX lenses were very good. I have several and they are all worth the money I paid for them. I early on got new lenses in 80-200mm, 300mm, 24mm and 75-260mm. They were all well worth it. To my knowledge, none of the mounts were interchangable.

Well I ended up getting a M42 adapter for the Pen-FT, which basically means I can still use a T-mount lens if i wish ( since easy to adapt M42->T), but right now trying to find my darn M42 mount for my Tamron adaptall-2 lens, I know its around here somewhere.

My attempts to win a Spiratone 12mm has failed misreably when they've gone upto 175$ in both cases. I think most T-mount lens can be used on LTM bodies (I got a LTM-T adapter) its just a matter of using the scale focusing and makign sure the back of the lens doesnt jam up . A 12mm would be easy as hell to scale focus if it had a distance scale ( which I think the spiratone I was bidding on did).

My first two auxillery lenses were the expected 28mm and 135mm since I found them in the PX as a kit. The 28mm was nice but I quickly found not wide enough. I then ordered the Spiratone 15mm. I still have it today and it has been a favorite lens for years. Got a free 35mm Sun as part of the order. It was worth just about what I paid for it. Not that it was a bad lens. It just isn't a lens length I really like.
Sure hated to see Spiratone go out of business. They had such neat things.

Erm, those are not Auxillery lens in my opinion. Aux lens are those yuo stick in front of existing lens (like the front mounted 2X teleconvertors and wide angle convertors)
