Focomat 1c Problem

Hello My First Post, I Have A Focomat 1c I Am Tring To Set The Auto Focus, The Helical Focusing Mount Dose Not Rotate Smoothly It Feels A Bit To Stiff Making Fine Adjustment When Setting Auto Focus Difficult, Dose The Helical Screw Need Re - Greasing To Make It Run Smoother, If So Is It An Easer Job To Do This.

The original lube is probably dried out/gummy. It isn't a hard job to regrease it, but getting the helical back together after being separated can be a PITA (no special skills or tools are needed, but it is a nuisance trying to line the threads up again).
