Focus issues with R-D1 + Voigtlander 40mm?

I just got an Epson R-D1 and love it! It's just like my R3A, but digital!

I'm having a problem with using my Voigtlander 40mm Nokton with the R-D1. The lens seems to focus properly at infinity, but backfocus 3-4 inches when focusing closer up. I only seem to have this problem with the 40mm; my Leica 5cm Elmar and Zeiss 50mm Planar don't have any issues.

Has anyone had similar problems or have any idea what might be going on?

The VC has some natural focus shift wide open, the amount you are telling us is not that shocking. You can probably just compensate, or spend money on a service if it bothers you too much.
I'd rather save the money and just get on myself, but...just my 2 cents
