hi guys ,
i just bought an epson V750 pro and all the negs that i am scanning are soft.
i shoot with contax g1 and g2 and the lenses are one of the sharpest lenses out there especially the 45mm
i have scanned in other scanners and never had a problem.
i have pin sharp 16x24 prints and when i see the negs i can tell they are really sharp...... so that leads me that either i am doing something wrong or there is a problem with my scanner.
i have followed the instructions on how to use the scanner and in all the tests i ve done the images are soft.
please do you have any tips to help me
????
thanks

Is the lens set for film holder and hi-res? Read the book. I don't have that scanner but I know there are two lenses and settings for film holder (above the glass) and the glass.

Also.......
Scanning requires capture and output sharpening. A subject for whole books.
