Hi all,

You were all so incredibly helpful with my previous 85mm question, so I thought I'd throw another at you:

I picked up a Nikon 5cm 1.4 H.C. (here's a link to an vintage ad for it!) on a whim off the classified ads here.

I didn't realize it was an "internal" Nikon S lens. I got such a deal I didn't want to return, so I looked into adapters. They were incredibly expensive.

I picked up this one on a whim, as it would seem to fit the bill (and it comes with a free lens!)

Am I missing something, or is this just an awesome price? I get that this is just a frankenstein'd lens mount to NEX adapter, but it should perform the same function as the Kipon, right?

Sorry to dump all these "digital" questions on you nice folks, but there ain't a lot of spots on the web where people know about Contax/Nikon S stuff.

thanks!

There's a slight difference in focus between the Nikon mount and the Kiev/Contax mount. Both mounts fit each others lenses just fine, they just close-focus slightly differenly. If you're shooting NEX it shouldn't make any difference at all, since you'd be using through-the-lens focusing.
