Hey there
Check if your camera has got a fine tuning for the Auto-Focus. That's how a corrected this issue.
I got a reference to do so. I like to control my Auto Focus from time to time. It's good to have one worry less when shooting.

thank you, very informative indeed.
Always worth visiting here and actually learning new things,
I suppose the M mount RF cameras, with the lens a lot closer to the film plane probably doesn't suffer the same as the aforementioned FM2n etc.
Of course the lenses for RF cameras usually have wider apertures' too.
They're made for it really in comparison to the consumer level SLR's.
You have a different set of issues on RF focusing
On Leica M cameras- rigidity of the body is also an issue. The mount is simply attached to the shell

On the optical bench, my dad remembers that if you squeeze the body hard enough, it'll affect the focus
