Ok so I have a 35mm color skopar classic which I recieved yesterday, However Im not completly sure how to position my finger to use the focusing tab to prevent my fingers getting in the way maybe of the lens.

So how do you do it? Pinch technique seems ok but not as fast as with a normal ring.

Pictures might also help.

Thanks Chris

Push it back and forth with your left index finger or lightly hold it between your index finger and thumb. If you really want to wow your friends (or be less obvious) hold the camera in your right hand, thumb on the wind lever, index finger on the shutter release, and focus by nudging the lever back and forth with your extended middle or ring finger of the same hand.

Also consider that the tab is "normal". For decades Leica normals and wides were all tabbed. I think it was the black Summicron 50 introduced in 1969 that first came without a tab. Great lens but I hate having to focus with it.
