Focusing through external viewfinder?

Hello!
I have just recieved my ZI with planar 50mm and biogon 25, I have also bought external viewfinder for the wide angle, but there seems that there is no focusing? I mean there is no rangefinder box thingie right? why do I need the viewfinder? 🙂

the little viewfinder attachment is so you can frame your photo you'll take, but to focus, refer to the numbers on the actual lens (scale focusing) or else, buy a Range Finder coldshoe accessory

Ash is right, except the extra rangefinder. Use the built in rangefinder in the camera for focusing and the external viewfinder for composing.
