FOFER rangefinder calibration

I have a FOFER rangefinder I use with my model Ia. When set to infinity, the image does not align with distant objects; I assume it's out of alignment at other distances as well. Is there a way I can re-calibrate this myself? Would most Leica repair technicians be able to calibrate this?

Also, I apologize if this isn't the right sub-forum, since I'm not technically using this with a screw mount Leica.

The “ring” around the central screw loosens with a spanner. Turning the screw one way or another moves the images. When things look right, tighten the ring without letting the screw move at all. They DO go out of adjustment. I set it at a measured ten feet. Good ‘nuff.
