Foggy film? fail!

Hey guys,

As the title suggests. I developed a roll of TMAX100 in TMAX Dev this afternoon using Ilfostop and ilford fixer.

I developed for 7.5minutes, stopped for 1 minute, fixed for 7.5minutes and washed the film for 10minutes with the wash aid at the end...

Although the film has come out with some really odd fogging all over it, I am assuming its a problem with the fixer maybe? It doesn't look like light leaks as its covering the whole roll of film...

I scanned in a frame to show you what the fogging looks like, this is over every frame 🙁

Looks quite bad. Prepare a new batch of fixer and fix a few frames again and hope for the best. T-grain films like TMY2 really need fresh fixer.

okay, yeah well the fixer im using has done quite a lot of jobs in the past... so maybe i need to buy a new fixer?

Inspect before wash & reaffix if necessary. You still can.

This looks like film touching another wrap on the reel so developer can not get to it.

Check as you load by push/pulling the film every wrap. There should some slippage.
With a plastic reel all you can do is run a finger over the outside wrap as it goes on to be sure you feel a nice flat film.
