I was about to order some from BH and it said the 36 roll is discontinued. Anyone know anything about that?

it's still available in 100' roll; grab it while you can;
what i noticed is film price has been increased significantly recently.

No sign of that in German shops or on the Foma website. They're probably simply out of stock.

Freestyle lists it as low stock, as is the 100. They have the Arista version still.

Kodak and then Ilford (immediately after thier 2018 questionary to film users) high jacked thier prices, why Foma has to remain as low hanging fruit.

Iford performed film users questionnaire via Phortio (ex-APUG) and here at RFF and who knows where else. Film price increase went shortly after it.
March.

[insert pithy phrase here]
I did just notice higher prices for Ilford films earlier today, then looked at Kodak and they were still as high priced as the last time I looked.
I never noticed the Ilford survey -- interesting.
FWIW, I have been using Foma 100 for a little while now, and I think its pretty good. I used Foma 400 a while ago and I think it was OK, but I was using some HP5 at the same time, and that's great film.

found the following points in the second thread:
1. "The notice of increase was in the form of a communication that came from Harman Technology and appeared to be addressed to the US dealers that buy from Roberts, the new US Ilford distributor.
It included price information that appeared to not be intended for anyone not buying wholesale.
We have seen other information that indicates that B&H and Adorama's old retail prices were often less than what other dealers were paying wholesale.
It may be that with the old, now bankrupt distributor, B&H and Adorama were receiving the benefit of special preferential pricing, and what we are seeing now is simply a result of B&H and Adorama having to pay the same price that other retailers are paying."
2. "A quick check with one U.K. retailer indicated that the OP's price rise for D400 only brings it roughly into line with what is being charged for D400 in the U.K. So,yes, it looks as if you are now paying the equivalent of U.K. prices. However your Tmax 400 prices are still way below what we pay. The same U.K. retailer from whom I have quoted is charging $9.45 for Tmax 400 as against $4.89 - the price I saw quoted in one post. Now that spells "Ouch " in anybody's language.
It may be, as has been said, that the U.S. customer is now paying closer to the real cost for D400 for the reasons given. I assume in all of this pricing scenario that we in the U.K. were/are already paying the "right" price for D400 and we are not in danger of a similar large rise in the price of D400 as you in the U.S. have been subject to - but whose to say?"
3. "Last year I was able to buy a couple of 100 foot rolls of HP5+ for my bulk loader much cheaper than the UK price by simply having it mailed from B+H to friends visiting Florida. Now I understand how it could be so much cheaper when I could probably drive to Mobberly in under four hours.....if B+H were getting special pricing on Ilford material. Now the US price is similar to the UK price, within a few $ and do remember that UK prices have 20% VAT added before any prices are quoted to customers. "
It appears highly likely that the price increase is the result of a new distributer no longer giving preferential treatment to the big outlets. US prices are now in line with the rest of the world.
To say that Ilford and Kodak high jacked their prices after a survey is unfounded speculation at best.

Where exactly did I wrote what Kodak high jacked prices after questionary?
Is my ESL this bad?
It is Ilford which highjacked thier prices after it. In the data they aquered it was only third of young buyers.
