Anybody know if Fomadon has fixed their QC issues with this film? Specifically with regard to the end of the roll sticking to the film plate ( due to the adhesive used on the tab intended to secure the roll of film AFTER it is out of your camera ).

I just developed a roll of Fomadon 400 in 120, and have three negatives that have a very straight streak of light running across parts of them.. I couldn't figure this out until I realized that I had to open my camera while the film was not completely wound, due to the fact that the tab was sticking to my plate, and it wouldn't come out any other way. I did my best to do this procedure in the darkest light possible, but I suppose I failed.

I really like the film, but I'll never use it again in 120 format unless I know that it works as intended.

Ugh... frustrated.

Fomadon is the name of Foma's developers. I assume you mean Fomapan?

Fomapan doesn't work in some cameras because of the thickness of the adhesive they use to attach the film to the backing paper: in one of my Rolleflex TLRs it always catches as you describe, but in another it works fine. Maybe try another camera, or change film in a darkbag, or otherwise just use different film.

I must have been out of it last night - yes, it's Fomapan, not Fomadon. Well, that pretty much answers my question then. I'll just stay away from the film when shooting with a Rollei.

Thanks.
