Fomadon vs Fomatol LQN

Hi All,

So I recently ordered some Fomadon LQN (my normal developed) but was mistakemly sent FomaTOL LQN (their paper developer). Does anyone know if I can use the Fomatol for film?

I'd normally call the guy I buy from, but he's on holidays, also making exchange for fomadon a time consuming process.

Up until a century ago, nobody made a difference between plate and paper developers. But that meant development by sight, and magnification factors where grain did not matter.

Paper developers still can be used for film in a pinch, but working out the proper dilution, speed and development time will need a dozen rolls or two, for less than mediocre results at the very best. As long as you are not stuck on a island where the mail boat will only visit once a year, you'd be better off waiting until ANY real film developer arrives.

Thanks, I'll sit it out and get some Fomadon, I've got it all sorted and am not really in the mood to start from scratch with a new developer
