Fomapan 200, type 120 - blue tint

Film base stay bluish after rinse and drying.
Is it normal?

Yes it is. According to the datasheet it's "blueish" but from what I've seen and read it's a rather strong blue tone.

Hallo Emil,

Could I ask for a developer recommendation for this film? I have the two rolls I got in Berlin to develop and am undecided between Rodinal, D-76 and HC-110.

Escpecially as there are two times for Rodinal 1+50 and nothing for D76 1:1.

Is there anybody tried Fomapan 100 or 200 with XTOL 1:2, 1:3 ?
I can't find time estimation for such combinations.

I used D-76 1+1 for 7 minutes, it gives pretty nice negatives when the film is slightly over-exposed (EI 125). I haven't enlarged or scanned any of my Fomapan shots from Berlin yet but they look good. For EI 200, I'd go for a slightly longer time (8-9 minutes as suggested by the MDC)

I haven't experimented with Fomapan and Rodinal yet but it's supposed to work pretty well. According to Robert Vonk at APUG and Photo.net, 1+50 for 9 min is a good starting point but be prepared for a pretty obvious grain.

Unfortunately I don't have a clue about using Xtol... 🙁

I like pretty much Robert (fotohuis) results with XTOL here:

I tried 1:1 and it seems good - but it isn't economical for 120 film (300ml for 600ml tank). so I think to switch to R09, or use higher dilution
