Food Trucks, let’s see your pix

In the 80s, I read that hot dogs contained all the bits of pigs that couldn't be used otherwise, like snouts, ears, trotters and testicles. So why do they taste so good??

That's what makes Scrapple so good. Along with lots of sausages. Hog ears, jowls, cheeks and, of course, trotters, are fine eating on their own. You are leading a sheltered culinary life.

When I was a young kid the ice cream man drove a tricycle Harley with a freezer box on the back with dry ice to keep it cold. A small ice cream cup, brown cow, ice cream sandwich , fudge bar or popsicle was 5 cents. They went up to 6 cents in the late 50’s about the same time cokes went from 5 to 6 cents and that extra penny was tough to come by.
I remember 5 cent cokes! Yes, early '50's.

My fave in the past, El As/zadero. The "S" and "Z" seem interchangeable in Mexican Spanish. The first is after asking permission, "Con permiso?" and getting a "yes" with a "Not me, I am too shy." I'd guess that all folks not born here are jumpy as hell right now. Two Al Pastors, two Carne Asadas. Me gusta!

Before there was one Citroën H Van Food truck in Yamashita Park; today there were two.
It's Golden Week here, business must have doubled!
