Almost 11 years ago, I took a quick iPhone snap of a lens that I had just bought:

Fujinar 250 f/4.7 lens. by Drew Saunders, on Flickr

It's a Fuji Fujinar 25cm f/4.7 lens, a single-coated Tessar design, which isn't so common outside of Japan. I have since increased my collection of single-coated fast Tessars to four (Zeiss Tessar 165/3.5, Schneider Xenar 180/4.5, and another Fujinar 210/4.5). In large format, anything faster than f/5.6 is considered a fast lens.

For some reason, someone "faved" it who also likes to "fave" rather tasteful photos of nude women. Lots of them. That got another user of similar taste to "fave" it and I presume the popularity is from those two users. The first does have the occasional "fave" of camera equipment, but it's "a dozen nude woman, lens, more nude women, camera" etc.

I really do like the lens! I probably should have cleaned up my office or chosen a better background had I known it would have become a very minor Internet celebrity lens!

So it's been a few years and numbers ahve changed a bit since I last posted in thread.

This is my highest viewer number photo and for the world of me, I have no idea why. It's boring ...

My highest liked photo I similar sentiments about it, but the subject matter is slightly more interesting and the camera was a lot more gimmick-ey too

My two most viewed. The first is also by far my most stolen... Turns out the interwebs love a #wlf

The second was the lightening storm that started the 2019 fires in Tasmania.
