Found at the Flea Market

These things remind me of my mother-in-law's slides of Italy. What I liked the best in hers were the cars. Here, the dawn shots are... singular.

Thanks for posting the story! 🙂

I have seen this band/family!
They are hilarious!
They did a song to slides from a McDonalds corparate slide show.
If they ever come to your area, they mostly do arts festivals and the like check them out.

Seeing as there was just one box at the market, and that several of the slides were marked "not good" or some such thing, I'm wondering if these are the ones that were edited out. Many people keep the bad ones too - just in case.
For a trip to England, I would think there were a lot more. Still, quite interesting due to the age. 😎

Amazing how much of the scenes haven't changed much. Westminster, Oxford St., Liberty's all look much the same now except for a ten fold increase in traffic. (At least). All the cranes are now gone in the Tower Bridge pic, as working docks and warehouses are turned into expensive riverside apartments. Sometimes they leave a crane behind for purely ornamental reasons, but they're few and far between on that stretch of the Thames now.

Fun stuff, Cap. Many, many times I see antique photos in a flea market and think how much the family/descendants might like to have those - if only they knew they existed.

Ha!! "Our bus on the way to Dover." ... ehhh, shouldn't you be ON that bus? 😱
