After an intense search for a Canon IVSB2, and daily big auction site searches, and with help from the Dechert book and particularly Benny Ng on the details to look for, I found one last night, and it was a Buy It Now...so I did. I only found this because of a search on Google that led me to this auction; note how the IVSB2 is spelled in the title-no wonder I missed this one prior to last night. Hope it is as nice as it looks.

Now the Canon Rapidwinder I got has a new buddy.

good deal, the finder is worth about half of what you paid and the side rail maybe the other half...

Haha, congrats!
I almost bought that one myself. I already had a TEWE finder and would have just offered it here for sale. I never did figure out how much the flash side bar was worth but it looked like a good deal for someone.
I have a parts Canon LTM camera but its enough for me to really appreciate how that they'd be nice users. I'll have to try one some time.

Seen that yesterday and thought it was a good deal, now pair that beauty up with a Canon 50mm f1.5 lens and you are set to go.

I have never seen a flash attachment like the one on this camera- any idea who made it?

Thanks all. It does pay to keep looking, and then often it is luck. Bingley: In due time. Xayraa33: I agree, as I have that lens, and my 28mm f3.5 will also be on this one. Jon: I know, but the finder has a scratch in the front glass so not as valuable. But still a nice deal to get another NK finder in the bargain. I wonder if the front glass can be replaced?

I don't think the flash adapter is from Canon. I have a similar one from Minicam that I modifed from a proprietary bin-pin connector to PC connection.
Yeah, that was a very good deal.

Congrats Bob! That's a great find. Definitely a good deal, considering how much they should actually go for.
You know, usually, folks get the camera first and decide to get a rapidwinder for it after shooting with it for a while. Not quite the other way round.
Cheers,

Well, that's me. I wanted both and searched for both at the same time and the Rapidwinder came up first, so there you have it. Thanks again for your help and enthusiasm.
Speaking of rapidwinders, and Leicavits, the mechanical engineer in me loves these devices. I do not know how it happened

Agree with John - not a period piece for the bottom fed rangefinders but maybe a LATER Canon item. I've got a neat wee and simplier item, but suspect this is an accessory for one of the Canon Demi half frame camera models.

It arrived today, and...
It arrived today, and...
it is stunning. Very few marks on the body, beautiful inside and perfect curtains, and shutter speeds are sounding "right on." Pictures of it soon, and pictures with it later this week. Wow.

Ah, I'm jealous now.
I was nervous it would turn into out to be another project camera and I have an unmanagable number of those already. Congrats on the great buy.
If the finder is useable, consider holding on to it. I've enjoyed using mine on a few cameras now.

Thanks Brian. The finder is quite useable. My other one is collector quality and is thus in my collection. This finder is perfect for daily use.
